Whenever I get a little black package in the post, I know it’s going to be something exciting. Whether it’s a surprise (like this one) or expected as I wait for the delivery man to knock at the door, every Illamasqua parcel is like Christmas and birthdays rolled into one. This time I’ve got the long awaited Matte Lip Liquids to show you, in two shades that are perfect for summer.
I’m so glad to be writing this post. At one point it was looking like I wouldn’t be able to get my hands on Conviction – it was a sell out online – but the fab Illamasqua customer service team got my order to me, albeit a couple of days late.
This post is going to be short and sweet, because you know the drill with Illamasqua blushers, I’ve reviewed plenty before including the original Velvet Blusher shades.
Conviction velvet blusher is a delicious hot pink. It is just as vibrant on the skin as it is in the pan, so be warned – less is more with this one.
The Illamasqua velvet blushers are a cream to powder finish, that are really easy to blend. I am so, so, so happy that Illamasqua have decided to release more shades in these, they’re just great. Sleek and Peaked are very well loved.
Conviction is the perfect pink for summer. Use it on your cheeks for a natural flush or patted on your lips for a juicy hot pink pout.
This shade is an online exclusive, available for £21.50 at illamasqua.com.
Yes, I know, I’m so late to the party on this one. While the blogger world is going crazy for the new Clueless Witch Velvetines by Lime Crime, I’m all about Pink Velvet.
I already own the Suedeberry Velvetine, which I think I bought off the Lime Crime website when it first released. Suedeberry is in the old style of packaging, so keep on reading if you fancy seeing a comparison of the two as well as my Pink Velvet review.
Here are my recent OCC purchases swatched on my lips so you can get a better idea. As I said in my post about the new Lip Tars, worn on its own Plastic Passion really picks up on every single flaw in your lips. By the time I was swatching this my lips were protesting about having products applied only to be taken off a minute later!
I’m really impressed with the Cosmetic Colour Pencils Grandma and Poolboy. They’re both so soft that they don’t drag at all.
You can pick up all of these and more from Love Makeup!
A couple of weeks back when Escentual were asking on Twitter for bloggers with blemish prone skin to trial a new product, I had no idea I’d be signing up to try La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+]. I’d seen various photos floating around Instagram and I was super excited to see how different – and how much more effective – this new version of my old favourite Effaclar Duo would be.
This post is the start of a sort of ongoing review I’m going to do. For our holiday this year we decided to go camping through Spain. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to really test out some of the solid products that Lush offer, so for this post I’m discussing what I’ve got, and why.
