Winged Eyeliner Using MAC and Illamasqua

Here’s my first go at a quick tutorial, I wear this look most days – it’s so quick and simple but looks great every time!

First off, here are the products I used:

L-R: MAC Eyeshadow in Ricepaper, MAC Eyeshadow in Mulch, MAC Paints in Base Canvas, Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake in Mislead and Illamasqua Sealing Gel.

I always do my eye makeup first so that any mistakes or fallout don’t ruin the rest of my makeup.

I started by using Bare Canvas as sort of a base for the rest of the eyeshadows. I’m getting used to using this, and recommend to use your finger to pat this colour over the eyelid as it’s quick sticky.

After I used a fairly fluffy eyeshadow brush to put Ricepaper over the top, going just above the crease.

Into the outer ‘V’ of my eye I used Mulch, just taking a little bit at a time and blending it out with a pointed eyeshadow brush, then blending it with the lighter colour using a clean brush.

Next – on to the eyeliner! This is one of my favourite finds – Illamasqua Sealing Gel. You can mix this with any powder makeup to great a liquid that stays put until you want to take it off :) Here I’m using it with the Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake.

First, just draw a simple line as close to the top lash line as possible. I’m using an angled eyeliner brush. No worries if it isn’t perfect at this point :)

Next, draw the line from the outer corner of the eye which will turn into the winged part of this look.

Then join this up with the rest of the lines. You want to aim for about the middle of you eyelid.

To finish, fill in the gap, and tidy up any uneven lines. For my lashes I use Illamasqua Masquara on both top and bottom lashes.

Ta-da! Perfect winged eyes :)

Also filled in my brows with Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Stark :)
