Orly Manicure With A Twist!

Just a quick post! I did my nails last night, I tried to stick to a plain manicure but I had an overwhelming urge to put glitter into the mix. Always a good thing right?

Orly Manicure with VIP Tips

I just did the tips using Orly Mani Minis, first with a bit of silver using Tiara and then with VIP, finishing with OPI top coat. Giving my nails a nice break from coloured varnishes! Also the Mini range by Orly is a great way to try colours without buying the full size :)

Lush Henna Hair Dye Review and Tutorial

Hey guys! I’m up early to dye my hair, so I thought I’d share this with you :) I don’t think that many people realise henna is used to dye hair … well I wasn’t too sure when I first tried! But it’s great, and it’s all natural, so no harmful chemicals going on your hair or your skin.

Chanel Inmitable Intense Mascara Review

Currently distracting myself from what I should be doing – revision and referencing! But, as always, I’ve turned into the Queen of Procrastination …

So here’s a review of Chanel’s Inmitable Intense Mascara in 10 Noir :) Hope you like it! I got this mascara as a stocking filler for christmas, and it’s quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

As always with Chanel products, it comes in lovely, stylish packaging! A good reason to treat yourself to some once in a while :) The mascara brush is quite thin, as you can see below, this made me a bit unsure of the results I’d get, because I’m used to bigger mascara brushes.

Chanel Inmitable Mascara – Brush

On the box this mascara promises “volume, length, curl, separation”, so does it deliver? For me, it definitely does! I have to admit, I’ve tried it before but only in tester size, which isn’t the same as using a full size product – well not for me anyway! It gave my lashes a lovely long defined look, and was quite thick, but without any clumps or lumps, nobody wants spider-legs lashes!

Chanel Inmitable Mascara Swatch

Here’s one eye, maybe on the big side, but I wanted to show how the mascara looks in detail :) This is also great for contact lense wearers – I find that some mascaras really irritate my eyes, but this one causes me no trouble at all :). Bonus!

Also got some new goodies in the post recently that I’m itching to share, from Lime Crime! I’ve been eager to try out their stuff for ages – so watch this space for a look at Magic Dust in Medusa, Opaque Lipstick in Centrifuschia and Candy-Eyed Eyeshadow Helper – which seems to be turning into a must-have! :)

Winged Eyeliner Using MAC and Illamasqua

Here’s my first go at a quick tutorial, I wear this look most days – it’s so quick and simple but looks great every time!

First off, here are the products I used:

L-R: MAC Eyeshadow in Ricepaper, MAC Eyeshadow in Mulch, MAC Paints in Base Canvas, Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake in Mislead and Illamasqua Sealing Gel.

I always do my eye makeup first so that any mistakes or fallout don’t ruin the rest of my makeup.

I started by using Bare Canvas as sort of a base for the rest of the eyeshadows. I’m getting used to using this, and recommend to use your finger to pat this colour over the eyelid as it’s quick sticky.

After I used a fairly fluffy eyeshadow brush to put Ricepaper over the top, going just above the crease.

Into the outer ‘V’ of my eye I used Mulch, just taking a little bit at a time and blending it out with a pointed eyeshadow brush, then blending it with the lighter colour using a clean brush.

Next – on to the eyeliner! This is one of my favourite finds – Illamasqua Sealing Gel. You can mix this with any powder makeup to great a liquid that stays put until you want to take it off :) Here I’m using it with the Illamasqua Eyeliner Cake.

First, just draw a simple line as close to the top lash line as possible. I’m using an angled eyeliner brush. No worries if it isn’t perfect at this point :)

Next, draw the line from the outer corner of the eye which will turn into the winged part of this look.

Then join this up with the rest of the lines. You want to aim for about the middle of you eyelid.

To finish, fill in the gap, and tidy up any uneven lines. For my lashes I use Illamasqua Masquara on both top and bottom lashes.

Ta-da! Perfect winged eyes :)

Also filled in my brows with Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Stark :)

First post!

I’ve been meaning to start up a makeup blog for a while, and finally I’ve plucked up the courage to do it! I’ve been so inspired by other people’s blogs recently, and thought it’d be cool to start my own to play around with makeup and share my favourite looks. :)

So just to introduce myself – I’m Phee, 19, from the lovely North of England. :) I hope you enjoy my blog!

Here’s a quick look at what I’ve been wearing today, just a chilled look perfect for Sundays, but with a splash of colour trying out Lime Crime Lipstick in Centrifuschia.
