Chanel Peridot Le Vernis Nail Colour Review

Hey guys, long time no post! I’ve been so busy I’ve not had time for any beauty treats. Luckily, it’s time to treat myself!

I was flicking through Elle magazine looking for some ideas for nail colours – I don’t have that many (honest!)- and saw they were recommending Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Peridot. It was just a small article about how to update your look for Spring/Summer ’12 and I thought why not? Chanel doesn’t usually disappoint me!

It doesn’t show up too good in the photo, but the colour is an iridescent gold that has blue/turquoise hints to the colour when the light ¬†hits it. The nail colour goes on great, it’s pretty much opaque after the first coat and by three coats it looks amazing! These pictures really don’t do the colour justice, and even though it might seem like quite a stand out colour, it’s really wearable.

I always finish my nails with a top coat, either OPI or Jessica just to make sure the colour lasts. I was especially careful to do this with the Chanel nail colour because my friend had experience with it chipping really quick – although this hasn’t happened to me yet and it’s been almost a week!

So it’s safe to say Chanel didn’t disappoint, the colour goes on great and looks just as it does in the bottle without being too garish. At ¬£17.50 it’s quite expensive, but it is a premium product and it’s definitely worth it!

Hope you enjoyed this post, I’ll be posting a lot more now I’m free! Got some Spring/Summer looks to try out and some new goodies from Lime Crime and Sugarpill!
