I’ve been completely obsessed with Kendall Jenner over the last couple of weeks. The looks she wears are different to what I’d usually go for – shimmer on the lids, no liner, LASHES and a load of bronzer. This look she wore to the amFAR gala just blew me away – forget the Kylie lip, it’s all about this fiery orange red shade.
It’s a bit summery, but to hell with keeping makeup seasonal.
I thought I’d go all out with Valentine’s posts this year, why not? But I know some people get sick of it too, so these 3 steps could also be applied if you’ve had the week from hell or if you just fancy a night to chill out completely!
Have a Good Soak In T’ Bath
Whenever anyone in our house needs to chill out, straight up the first piece of advice they’ll get is “get in t’ bath’ (yes, like Peter Kay would say it if you’re having difficulty). My favourite bath time scent has to be lavender. I love it when you’ve run a (too) hot bath, and the smell of lavender is carried on the steam and fills the room.
This time round it’s got to be Lush’s Limited Edition Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (so hurry up and grab them before the 14th!) which contains super relaxing ingredients like Neroli Oil and Lavender. Also, who doesn’t want to bathe in unicorn, rainbow magic?
To carry on with the lavender-y theme and to leave your skin as soft as a baby’s bum without taking the exfoliation too far is Angels on Bar Skin. This product is very popular with staff and customers alike, and after using it for a couple of weeks I can see why! The ground almonds are super gentle on the skin but still get rid of everything. You can use this on your face and body, and it’s permanent too.
After brows, the second most requested tutorial is eyeliner. To keep my Quick Tip Tuesday video as short as possible, I decided to create this post to talk about types of eyeliner, brushes you can use and how important the shape of your eyeliner is too.
So, if you’d like to learn more about how to get perfect winged eyeliner, please keep on reading!
Brows made it big in 2014. Whether you were after brows Cara Delevingne would be jealous of or just wanted to add a bit of oomf to your natural shape, they were the prime focus for much of the year. And too right, brows really do finish off a look.
Since the age of, 14? I’ve been drawing my brows on. I started with a trusty Rimmel brow pencil, and now I’ve got my routine down to a fine art. Luckily – or as some people my see it sadly - I’ve got a severe case of invisibrow. If you do too, fear not! Here are my favourite brow products for invisibrow sufferers that last despite not having much hair to cling on to, along with a tutorial of how I create my brow shape.
Red lipstick is a timeless beauty classic. Now there are so many brands and so many reds that there’s a shade to suit every skin tone and every budget, but such a statement lip colour can still be difficult to pull off. Over the years I’ve amassed a variety of lip colours – from teal green to bright purple – and I’ve got my fair share of reds too. In this post I’m going to go over my favourite products for perfect red lips and top tips to achieve the perfect pout.
Something a bit different – finally using Technopagan in a tutorial! This is similar to the makeup I wore a couple of weeks back, but with a little more colour thrown in on the eyes. Click read more to see close ups of the eye look.
