How to make your own Christmas hamper.

There’s always one person at Christmas that’s really hard to buy for. You spend hours wracking your brain about what to get them, but you’re still running around like a headless chicken on Christmas Eve with nothing to wrap.

So why not make them a hamper? Set a budget, pick a few of their favourite things and wrap it up all professional.

To make your hamper you will need:

– tissue paper (sheets, that shredded stuff, whichever takes your fancy)
– cellophane
– scissors
– tape
– bow
– ribbon
– gift tag

Step 1 – gather everything you’ll need for your hamper (I’m guilty of starting something, realising I’ve not got all the things I need, then it all goes to pot.)

Step 2 – Use your tissue paper to create a slope for your products to sit on and look all fancy.

Step 3 – Arrange your products!

Step 4 – In hindsight I should have done this, use double sided tape to stick your products together so they don’t jiggle about.

Step 5 – Wrap your hamper in the cellophane.

Step 6 – Add your ribbon, bow and gift tag and you’re done!

As you can see, the double sided tape trick would’ve stopped some of the products rolling around.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it’s something a bit different! :)

A massive thank you to Boots for providing the products for this post.

How To Use Glow Highlight Powder

Okay, so you might be thinking Phee, what the hell, like I don’t know how to use a highlighter?! I’m not saying this is how you have to use Glow Highlight Powder, or any other highlighter you’ve got for that matter, but I’m hoping that maybe you’ll find out something new in this post, even if it’s something that you might not think is that important.

Emma Stone Independent Spirit Awards Look

There are so many beautiful makeup looks around at the minute with fashion weeks and awards ceremonies taking place around the world. This started off as a Taylor Swift Grammys look – which is very similar – but I love Emma’s style. Plus she’s a fellow redhead!

The look Emma wore to the Independent Spirit Awards really caught my eye. I love how her makeup artist adds a touch of colour to a lot of her looks. I don’t usually play with blues either, and it’s always good to try new things.

Ready for the Weekend: Kendall Jenner

I’ve been completely obsessed with Kendall Jenner over the last couple of weeks. The looks she wears are different to what I’d usually go for – shimmer on the lids, no liner, LASHES and a load of bronzer. This look she wore to the amFAR gala just blew me away – forget the Kylie lip, it’s all about this fiery orange red shade.

It’s a bit summery, but to hell with keeping makeup seasonal.

T’was the Night Before Valentine’s

I thought I’d go all out with Valentine’s posts this year, why not? But I know some people get sick of it too, so these 3 steps could also be applied if you’ve had the week from hell or if you just fancy a night to chill out completely!

Have a Good Soak In T’ Bath

Whenever anyone in our house needs to chill out, straight up the first piece of advice they’ll get is “get in t’ bath’ (yes, like Peter Kay would say it if you’re having difficulty). My favourite bath time scent has to be lavender. I love it when you’ve run a (too) hot bath, and the smell of lavender is carried on the steam and fills the room.

This time round it’s got to be Lush’s Limited Edition Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (so hurry up and grab them before the 14th!) which contains super relaxing ingredients like Neroli Oil and Lavender. Also, who doesn’t want to bathe in unicorn, rainbow magic?

To carry on with the lavender-y theme and to leave your skin as soft as a baby’s bum without taking the exfoliation too far is Angels on Bar Skin. This product is very popular with staff and customers alike, and after using it for a couple of weeks I can see why! The ground almonds are super gentle on the skin but still get rid of everything. You can use this on your face and body, and it’s permanent too.
